Finally the rain cleared.....


Was just heading out this morning for a long walk to sunrise when the heavens opened and delayed the expedition for a few hours,  but it finally cleared and we saw some blue skies,   but it was still cold.

Its not supposed to be but its starting to cloud over again,  I was going to take the IR camera out but Im waiting for a delivery first and I bet by the time it arrives that window will have closed on me.

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts. We have nothing but overcast skies here this morning. I was hoping for a sunny day to take out the M3P.

Sadly it did,  by the time the delivery had arrived the weather had turned to overcast.  Instead I got to do some search and rescue activities.

I dont think the Mini 4 has anything to offer me that I want,  sadly as I was all geared up for the upgrade.

I've no plans to upgrade either drone or pocket, just now.
I may offload the Action2 as well, as I'm not really getting much use out of it.
Or I may just use it as a dashcam.

Have you considered wearing the action to do hyperlases of the walks?

Yeah. Tried that as well.
On the lanyard, it swung about too much. I'd have needed some velcro to hold it still on my chest.
Then if you remember I tried it on a headmount, which was a little better - but I only recorded video that time.

I was thinking using the magnetic mount through a chest pocket on the walking jacket.

That unfortunately reduced the magnetic force sufficiently to risk the camera dropping off the mount

Is the magnet in the mount or the camera?  if it was in the mount you could try a stringer magnet.

The camera and/or the battery pack are magnetic. I've mounted the camera on a tin box as a support - like when the steam train passed through.

Thats a shame,    perhaps a magnet in reverse though would work.
