Some search and rescue practice.....

Due to my watch challenge I was out for a second time walking yesterday when I heard these Ambulances wizzing down the road,  finally caught them up and they were trying to figure out where they needed to go,  so up went the drone and I was able to pass on directions to where they needed to be.   One van set off only to find it wasnt going to make it so they deployed an ATV which was in the back of the middle rear van.

It wasnt easy though to spot from the air where the accident had happened weven though there was some one there in hi-vis.

lol. Not quite,  but we could at least figure out where they had to get to so they could pick up the person who had fallen.

Excellent assist DA.  I'm sure the Ambulance Services folks appreciated the help.

I learnt this morning that the ambulances that came were heart specialists and they came 60 miles to the incident.

Yeah, and with cardiology every second in response counts.  So again, it was really nice that you could give them a helpful assist.

It's quite worrying just how thinly stretched our emergency services are.

Maybe it was away on a real emergency. Didn't you say this was just an exercise?

No exercise,   there was an actual incident 1.5 miles down the footpath.    They had sent a paramedic down on foot and they had called in the big boys.

The practice was mine,  trying to spot the incident from the sky wasnt the easiest find.

The sound they make you get a lot of notice when one is coming.  

What a cool story.  Hope it makes the local rag and gives drones some good publicity.

Unlikely that will happen sadly.    im waiting to see if Im going to be in a different paper article for an exhibition my work is in that may come out this week.

I do that a lot too.  Turning on the flight route is often good for a giggle.

I spend a lot of time under the take off path from Southend so I’m very nosey where things are coming and going from.

Here you cant interfere with a situation,  but thats mostly related to police operations.   In this case I was able to explain to them where they needed to go and how to get there as they had come 65 miles for the call out which was weird and they didnt know the area.

Just looked it up and it's not allowed to fly around Police etc.
