Beautiful. Exactly the same as we should have had here this morning except for the fog.  I had to hike up the hills to get to the blue skies

It was,  and it turned into a nice enough day in the end,   although it was cold.  Started at 3c with a hard frost.

Hopefully I'll get an hour or two mid afternoon to take a look,      walk this morning, then lentil soup thats pre made,   and the hopefully a film and some laptop time.

I normally use Italian umbrian lentils but puy lentils are a good alternative.

I do a French dish thats pork tenderloin stuffed with garlic/lemon and then wrapped in either bacon or parma style ham and served on a bed of puy lentils.

At least youve got the weather for that,   we were woken by the sound of rain this morning.  and its going to be a very wet day.

Mrs.B gave it the thumbs up when I made it last week.

Thats one of my favourites too,    tomorrow I think is Beef Bourguignon which will be 50% beef and 50% venison.  Just because I got some cheap.

Haven't had venison since we came back to the UK.  Apparently the latest craze is to use dark chocolate in the sauce.

Ive tried the dark chocolate trick in chilli a couple of times and Im not a huge fan of it.   I only got the wild venison as it was reduced and I thought it would make a change.   Sometimes I use Shin instead depending now what looks good.

I saw on the international news channel last night that you have Storm Debi headed your way.  If I remember right they were predicting gusts up to 128 kph.  No doubt that will prohibit drone flying for a day or two.  Undoubtedly, the storm will bring lots of rain with it also.

Debi is certainly here after yesterdays weather,   we had some amazing rain,  and winds string enough to take down some local trees.    I also discovered the local park this morning was a lake

Wow, sounds like you had some torrential rain fall.  Some of the oaks here are quite top heavy and it doesn't take a lot of wind to push them over as the roots don't go far down in the sandy soil.  Seen lots of broken branches and even whole trees down following high wind gusts.

I just looked down the garden from a different angle and notices weve lost a couple of fences,    they are the neighbours but sadly he's old and we always look after them for him,  partly as we like to have a nice fence.    Another job.

It's more of a case of replacing later although I suspect it wont be the last before winters finished with us.

I was just watching a weather documentary on TV and they were talking about how the weather patterns have all changed for the worse.  They are predicting that the winter this year will be the coldest to date.  I'm hoping they are wrong about that.
