As a newbie Mini 4 Pro owner I'm happy with what it has at this point.  Once I get more into flying and recording with it I'm sure I'll come up with a wish list of my own.

When it comes to the RC 2 controller that came with my Mini 4, there are several things I'd love to see changed or updated.

"4.  The ability to set the speed and the smoothness of the gimbal tilt button.

5.  The ability to select my SD card as the place where I want my screen recording to be stored."

What if I were to tell you that,
I can do both these things with my M3P?

For 4. Look in "Gain & Expo Tuning" in the Control menu. Gimbal section is at the end.

For 5. It just saves my screen recoding to the SD card in the RC, I didn't have to tell it to.

I've heard this was all possible with the previous iteration of the smart controllers that were introduced with the Mini 3.

I'm talking about the latest Smart Controller the RC2.  These same abilities do not seem to be available with this latest iteration of the RC 2 controller.

I know about the "Gain and Expo" settings.  That's not the problem.  I can adjust those parameters on my RC 2 controller.  It's all the other things I mentioned that I wish I could control.

Good points.

I would like to add one more if I could,A different design on the battery clips,so there are no longer any issues with then cracking.

I got really lucky with the cracking,    all of my batteries cracked just as I hit the 180 cycles,  so DJI replaced them all under warranty and for a while I got rid of the annoying message to replace the batteries that plasters the fly app when you get to 180 cycles.  Sadly they wont replace the Plus batteries under warranty in the EU.

lol. Doesnt mean they will keep it on the Mini 5 though.

The M5 Pro better be equipped with superior OA sensors (vs. M4P).   Within the first hour of use, I've had the M4P run into a thick light pole in broad daylight with OA turned on, while ActiveTracking at low speeds.

Blimey, the M4P has only been out for a few weeks and already a post about a future drone that may never take to the skies.  There is just no pleasing some people!!

The MP4 was hardly much of an upgrade on the MP3.

There was nothing wow about it to tempt anyone upgrading from the MP3, so I would expect to see significant improvements with an MP5.

That might be an issue due to the regulations about keeping it to 19m/s to maintain a C0 or C1 rating.

I would love more air stability. Compared with my old Mavic Pro (I know it´s another weight class) my M3P feels very unstable when flying on the higher limit winds so I can´t use it for filming at the beach if the wind is too high, which I could do every time with my Mavic Pro since it was faster and more stable  on stronger winds.

Also the controller keeps logging out when I´m travelling and not connecting it to a hotspot, which sucks if you are in a country where you have no data on your phone! I know you need to be compliant here but it is really grinding my gears!

The 1 inch sensor would be of course awesome, but I would prefer the drone to be faster and more stable on higher winds. The battery compatibility is something that you should take into consideration next time, since even though there is a compatibility between M3P and M4P, you can´t fly the M4P with a M3P battery without surpassing the 250 g, which takes much of the sense of buying such a small drone!

Its already available they just choose not to sell it in the EU.

Give extra battery

I'd like to see higher resolution map for Waypoint missions and an ability to create the missions on my home pc. Come to think of it, that may more of an issue with the RC2. If so, please fix it now! Firmware?

Release the Mini 5 Pro with working firmware and then leave it alone!

The maps on the RC/RC2 are pretty bad in some regions as they dont user apple or google maps due to licensing.

Wouldn't be surprised to see if they fit a one-inch sensor into the Mini 5 Pro.

All that DJI need do for that is to add 4 arms and props to the Pocket 3

Here's a great idea, release the Mini 5 Pro with a base firmware and then either over the air, or through DJI assist, allow users to add or subtract whatever firmware options and features they want. This way, the base firmware remains functional and the same, and features could be toggled on or off to allow the processor and battery life to not be bogged down with extra tasks going on in the background. The screen and functions could be less cluttered, and of course, DJI could even charge a small subscription fee for certain packs of features, or bring out new features one at a time, as additional marketing value through out the drones life.

Dont expect to see any SDKs in the future on the consumer drones,   they have pretty much already announced that on the SDK github.

They have already confirmed the SDK for the Mini 4 Pro for this year. At the moment the Mini line is an exception of the SDK discontinuation.
