the heat dissipates via the metal part of the gimbal, so should not be a problem. Scotty's solution is very clever.

Nice find.  I'm pretty sure that case will not create any heat issues.  I really like that it has three 1/4-20's making it great for attaching tripod, cold shoes, etc.

Me neither, The case that it came with is good enough and have room for the Wide Angle lens, Mist filter and Mic 2.

Can see it for use in a bag with other gear for better protection.

Very clever design!

I got one of these as I like the full protection it provides when I toss the Pocket 3 into a carry bag with other gear. It works well for that purpose but it is bulky. It's easy to put on and take off so I won't be using it full time, just when I feel the additional protection is warranted.
