Important Information: Coming to Cape Town For the December Holidays?
Catastrophic Cape Coastal Clarence Drive Damage

Recent Heavy rains have caused considerable catastrophic damage to the popular Clarence coastal drive.
See a stream at Klippiesbaai that has had a major facelift, evidence of lots of landslips and Severe Road damage that may take a long time to repair. At best if traffic is allowed to use this route over the December 2023 period it will be like strings of snails snaking their way southward slowly in the summer heat from a number of stop/go sections to get from Gordon's bay to Rooi Els etc.
At the time of posting the road has been opened up to Kogelbay, with a number of stop/go roadblocks.

Nicely documented Droffarc.    That area does appear to be susceptible to landslides.

Not really, only when we have heavy rainstorms, like one in a verrrrry blue moon.
Then it is called natural erosion - which is a plot to flatten our mountains!

Well, erosion is no joke.  Reminds me of sink holes in the Southeast US.

That was indeed a sunk whole, you don't want to be in the center of that.

I often have fun with google translation, using one or more words, translating it into a number of other languages, one after another, then translating the end result back to english to try and make sense of the result.

Like correction could translate into regmaker - which is a potion believed to assist with "babbelas" - the morning after a heavy drinking night, which in German translates to "Kauderwelsch" which speaks of non-comprehension of speech.

I'll bet it does. Parts of the east and south coasts of the UK are crumbling steadily away - but nothing on that scale I don't think.

Yes, I can see this. Like a game we call "silent post" whispering a sentence into each other's ears in a circle of people - only with a computer and different languages.

Yes something like that.
When I was studying Marketing Management we did a few such things like one person was witness to a certain incident and reported it to another person who reported it to another and so on. This taught me that there is my version, your version and the truth. You cannot always rely on a report without personally verifying it. There is always a degree of uncertainty as with Werner Heisenberg's theory - but that is quantum.

We also did an experiment with different beers. We called for persons who swore that they would be able to identify their favorite beer. They had to sip from a number of unmarked beers and identify which one was their chosen brand - none of them could - which goes to prove the power of product branding. All the same it was very interesting

I thought it was Blobby Mewling or Bloddy Boring. Strange how everything came to a standstill when Dallas was on the box - even the Citizen Band Radio folks took their "ears" off. Soon as the episode ended everyone was asking "Any good buddy got his ears on"?
Those were the days hey! Never to be repeated.

It's not very difficult. I have been following a few youtube channels with people that store water instead of letting it flow off immediately.
The results are great.
