Beloved by photographers as one of the 'must see and must capture' spots on Skye, with myriad photos of how awesome they are - perhaps I was expecting more from all the hype, but still, the clear blue waters of the pools is something unique and special, even if the 'classic photo' can only be achieved from one viewpoint with a very wide angle lens - and there was a queue of about a dozen folks with lots of gear waiting to take their turn to capture the shot...
Still, it is a decent walk, with a long steepish decent - and consequently a hard uphil slog back - but at 1000am on a Thursday morning we were not expecting to have quite so many folks around...
Keeping with the Lord of the Ring's Theme this music suggested itself to me, and I think it works...
Thanks... Its Da Vinci Resolve 4K, so 3840 x 2160 pixel, although I did have to zoom in a little in lpaces to try and get rid of people in the picture - and looking at it now I can see some where I moved it too far and left some black bands, damn it, why didn't I spot them before sharing it...

Ah OK that explains what seems different to me., though the black bands made it more cinematic for me. Although it was quite a popular place by the looks of it.

I hope it's not like the national trust carpark at Avebury where they have a fixed parking fee of £7.50 and there is no where else for miles to park.

Its a one off charge for the day, £6 unless you are disabled and have a blue badge, then it is free... There is another FC car park about 3/4 mile away, a lot longer and steeper walk, but for a once in a trip visit and for 3 hrs that we spent there for 3 adults it wasn't too bad - 177 spaces though, so I would expect it to get full in summer (and it has just been extended to double the previous size)

Absolutely spectacular views. The LOTR background music really fits this footage and I find it to be very spellbinding. Another excellent job of flying and editing.
