I've just purchased a new UG1 CINESSD reader and when I plug it into my Win 10 laptop it doesn't show in Windows Explorer. According to the user manual to update the firmware via the Assistant software the unit has to be plugged in whilst holding down the button but apart from the LED changing colour nothing else happens !
The reader doesn't show in 'Device Manager' unless I plug it in as though I'm going to do a firmware update when it shows as 'other' and with a yellow exclamation mark. It also shows that there is no driver software associated with the reader - I'm assuming that the reader should show in Explorer even if there is no SSD card in the slot ?
Hope someone can point me in the right direction.
