Thats a shame,   I didnt make it out either as I was knackered.    Stuck in today waiting for the car to be collected by the dealership.

I've had another lie-in this morning. Still haven't shaken this cough completely.

The car that needs to be repaired. Today was the first day they could collect it,   they tried to reject the job as they are 35 miles away but luckily they made an exception when I explained they were the closest main dealers on the insurance companies list.

That's irritating.  I have an errand to run shortly, but then we're off to the other side of Manchester for lunch with old friends. No droning today either - unsuitable weather.

They have just rung to say he's on the way and should be here in about an hour.  So thats quite handy.

We're back now, just a dusk, after a pleasant restaurant visit and good company.

We actually have some blue sky at the moment but it's chilly out there.

It is said to improve. But also get colder, which is not nice for my outdoor work that is scheduled for sometime next week.

Yup, I think so.
Not good for the sealant and paint that has to be applied to the new windows.

Yes, where the glass meets the wood, it needs to be sealed. And as we will screw the windows right where the glass is (so you don't see the screws), we can't apply it on forehand.
I might ask for a different method this time, but that will mean having to cover up the screws and I'm not sure if he can get the right angle.
And I also have to seal the gap between the frame and the window. As this is a 'renovation' job, its not a 100% good fit (the old wood is not straight at all)
