Hello all. I have updated my phantom 3 pro today to the new firmware and got these mixed messages in my sd card. Does all of this mean it was successful or not?????

Have you started it again with the firmware on the SD after the upgrade? That would explain all the later aborts

Yes I believe I did. Although second time I formatted the sd card and tried again. The light on the gimbal did go solid green so it must be ok. Thanks for your response.

Mine did exactly the same.
I reformatted the SD card and put the new firmware on and my report said exactly the same. All good

Looks like it updated fine.. Go fly

Just delete the bin file after the upgrade. That will stop the extra abort messages. Although you can keep the file if your are adding extra batteries

I'm Jean Paul from Belgium, Europe. I also tried to update my Phantom 3 pro. No problem for the drone but about the controller.
The update is supposed to come from the app (DJI GO). But the app just said (in french) "The firmware can't be updated from the app. Use a USB stick to do the update".
I then try to put the same new firmware on a stick and put it in the controller. I then turn the controller on... and waited...
A beep came after some minuts and it shuted down.
I have checked the txt file who says :

Looks good but... when I tried to fly, the DJI Go says "updated needed for the controller"...

Can you post the "about" screen from the DJI GO app so we can see what versions you have of the APP, Aircraft and RC.

Also if you did the 1.3.2.0 update for aircraft and RC there should be no need to update the RC.

I did my P3A by wathching sploodge's video, followed step by step and it took 13 min. to upgrade my p3. Tried follow me,POI all works great. Happy with my upgrade.

By the way it was my first upgrade ever doing it.

Can someone tell me which devices are not being detected?    As it sits, the only function I don't have is the video uplink.  And according to another thread on FW 1.2.28, DJI's official stance is that there is that the SD card is installed incorrectly and/or a pin that was uncorrected installed.....   Not sure how that is possible when the uplink was working just fine on 1,1.9, tried to go back down and no go.  

I just tried the new 1.4.2 FW and same resulted, the drone just starts screeching, camera LED is on solid red and the stat indicator in flashing yellow.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Notice：
 Users may skip updating the remote controller, as the latest firmware update does not affect the
remote controller
 It is normal for the motor to sound or the LED to blink during the update process, as the latest
firmware update will affect the motor.


I thinks DJI should have written this directly on the download page!

I've got the same problem. Yesterday i tried upgrade my drone and RC controller. Drone update ok, but I have problem with controller - the same message as in yours.
Is is safe to fly with different version RC and DRONE?

This afternoon i'll try update my RC to 1.3 first, and then I try newest firmware.

1.4 does NOT update the RC. 1.3.20 is the latest version for the controller.

When you have updated, the about page in the app should report the following

App: 2.2.0 or 2.1.0 depending if its IOS or Android.
Aricraft: 1.4.0010
RC: 1.3.20

Remove the battery from the P3 and leave it out for 15 minutes, then try the firmware update again.

There is no new intelligent flight battery FirmWare in this update package.
So you can safely remove the bin file and not be concerned.

I had the same issue where it wouldn't update from either plugging into the camera or with a USB stick.
The log file kept saying it was aborted because I was already running the same or more current version (and yet I couldn't fly because the remote control software was incompatible with the drone.)

The problem was that I was trying to update to a very new version.

When I switched to the bin file for 1.3.20, it immediately upgraded to 1.3.20. (I used USB Stick)

THEN I connected it to the tablet, fired up the app, and the app brought it current to the June 2016 file.
