I guess at stupid oclock they are not concerned that someone will steal their SUPs.

Nice capture.    Maybe they went back to the car to warm up one last time before heading out on the SUPs.

Yews,  they are the same two.   I was playing with the trial of Topaz AI to remove the noise from the shot.    It was taken in the dark and looked really bad before this.

If you go by and the boards are still there that might well be the case.  I'm betting they just took a short break.  Maybe they just needed a little "antifreeze" for the body.

the pinks were probably being reflected from the sky.

I would have said it was a bit early for that but then I also wouldn't be on a SUP in the those temps.
