Just wondering of anybody has done the BNUC course and then applied for public liability insurance? If so, any recommendations on affordable companies that can provide this for commercial pilots?

Thanks

Wow, that seems pretty cheap! Would that cover me for commercial use though, say if I was charging a client?

thanks

i would give them a ring.. its liability insurance , it should cover you if you damage any property etc

BMFA and FPVUK can supply cheap Public Liability insurance, but that is for hobby flying only.
For Commercial insurance you will have to contact your business insurance broker.
Premiums will be high, but its the price you have to pay for flying commercially, and your charges for work will reflect this.

Thanks guys, seems I'll need to look into this a bit further. Johnwarr, when you say "high", approximately how high do you mean?

I only fly for fun so I have BMFA insurance.
I would expect commercial public liability insurance to be around £1,000 a year, depending on the equipment and qualifications of the pilot.
