We heard talk when the DJI Inspire 3 was released that DJI was working on a new zoom lens that would accompany the drone in the near future.  Since then, I have heard nothing about it but one greatest improvements that I3 Owners would like to see besides a firmware update to include 50/60 fps in Pro Res 422 HQ to reduce that awful blurry rolling shutter issue for 30 fps or less is more lens options besides the 18, 24, 35, and 50mm.  Even though the 50mm is my lens of choise 90 percent of the time, it's simply not enough!

We absolutley need an 85mm 2.8 or greater and a zoom lens 70-200mm would also be welcome.  The mavic 3 pro with it's 70mm lens has been stealing the show for too long now.  It's time for an upgrade for the I3

So when can we expect these lens options to be available to purchase?

I would agree, and see the benefit of a longer focal length, I would go for a 100mm out of choice.

Also waiting for any updates on this - it was "coming soon" almost a year ago.  I specialise in wildlife filming and the 50mm simply isn't long enough, I'm tempted to go back to using a cropped sensor on my Inspire 2 with the X5S and Olympus 45mm - that gave me an equivalent focal length of 180mm.

Failing the new DJI DL Lens, can we use the lens adapter offered for the Ronin 4D that allows you to mount Sony E mount lenses?

This and the fact that we've only had a minor firmware update that didn't address any of the photography feature requests that people have been screaming about... features that were present in the Inspire 2 (i.e. bracketing) is a little concerning. I'm still upset that DJI had taken away third party support development opportunities with this bird by not giving it a public SDK... something else we once had with the Inspire 2. A company like Litchi could have innovated something for the new Vision Pro VR goggles or even an android app for the RC Plus like we once had. Companies like Litchi is what has inspired features we see today in our native apps. This is a huge disappointment.

Other things that don't make any sense.  The TB51 Inspire 3 batteries are not compadible with the newly released Ronin 4D-8K.  Who wants to invest in a ton of $350 each for the TB51 and then buy an older model TB50 for the ronin 4D-8K?  Wasn't planned very well

I would really love to use the lens adaptor too.... without new lenses and basic photo functions this new inspire has been a bit of a let down.

100% this, i use the 50 all the time and its just not long enough need to have a 100m and id love to see 200mm we have been stuck with 50mm for a seriously long time.  You can mount manual lenses but then you hit the issue with only being able to set the focus on the ground.  Ive seen lovely nikon 100mm footage and its just so much more cinematic.

I would also like a 24mm lens without distortion.  We are not using the 24mm lens on the inspire 3.

Distortion, please provide a sample of this.  Are you talking about the black shade around the edges?  How severe is your distortion?  This might be solved with proper color grade first steps when editing prores raw

While there are a number of us who fly it professionally, in Europe in particular, it makes more sense for operators to use the mavic 3 pro in most scenarios (a lot of the people who use that drone now would have been I2 operators before but never saw the need to move to the I3). Unless you're on sets of TV shows and movies, there's very little reason to buy an I3 over the mavic 3 pro in most cases. I doubt DJI will put in the effort to support the system now that this reality has become clear.

Good God! This is awful news for I3 drone owners that have invested so much money into this beast of a system but it makes sense, you'd have to be crazy to pay that kind of money on a drone and its accessories.  The Red V-raptor X will probably hold on for a while because of it's superior picture with the only drawbacks of lack of good IBIS and autofocus like Sony and Canon,  the inspire on the other hand will be surpassed by new mavic with 8k abilities, it's only a matter of time.  So sad for my bank account

DJI and Inspire 3 engineers, there's only one thing that can save this disaster of lack of sales!  A revamped new 8K camera with built in ND's and global shutter that will wow audiences.  This is how you can make the I3 relevant again
