That really dominates the landscape, doesn't it.

Impressive shot.     That is one super long expansion bridge.  Are my eyes deceiving me or does the bridge also have a lower deck?

It has a lower deck and could use a paint job.

It was the largest suspension bridge created, untl it was surpassed by he Umber bridge in 1981.

Yes I was thinking it's very similar to the bridge over the Humber river, to the NE of here

That's an extreme closeup from over a mile away. I'm afraid it's not as clear as I would have liked.

It's good enough or I wouldn't have posted it. The bridge is surrounded by restricted areas. We have military and fed zones on both sides so You have to zoom in. Just part of the neighborhood.

I can imagine. And with some bridges you just can start over again when you are done.

That seems to be the case. I think they take a break for a year or so and start all over.

It will depend on the size of the crew.

The bridge is over 1.5 km with two levels and 6lanes on each level. The tall suspension structure also has to be painted.  It's 228 ft tall so there are quite a few painters

We pass a couple of bridges in Denmark every year and they are always painting there.
