few different ways:
- for product shoots, having A>B points set reduce variables. predictable path makes it easier to get consistent results.
- for street shooting/vlogging for instance, having waypoint/keyframes would allow you to jump into the shot without having to be staring at your phone to get some gimbal movement. This would allow you to walk from one area to the other, while doing a voiceover or popping a wheelie etc .. knowing you've got X amount of time to go from point a to point b.
- for a very cool effect, waypoints make shots like match-cuts a viable option. it's pretty much impossible to get it correct by doing manually, having waypoints would let you put together a super sweet match cut
These are the top examples off the top of my head. there are several neat uses for this. It is a frustrating oversight, since the Pocket 3 has these keyframes available in Motionlapse/timelpase mode, as well as previous Pocket versions had "paths". |
