I'm talking about the bit of plastic that clips on the front of the camera, the bit you remove to put on an ND.

Mine has gone missing.  I'm almost certain is was one there before I took off yesterday evening, but definately wasn't there when I landed and put the gimabl cover back on.  I've walked to the park this morning in daylight and searched the ground where I was stood, but can't find it.

Where can I get a replacement?  I really don't want to have to send the otherwise perfectly good drone off to DJI for something so trivial.  DJI's online support seems to send you down the 'send everything back to us' route.  I don't mind paying for one, a tiny bit of plastic can't be that expensive.

If you cannot get an original you could always pickup a Freewell UV or Light Pollution filter as a replacement.  Would offer some actual protection for the camera lens as well.

Was something I was considering (especially as I've told that jolly fat bloke in a red suit that my Mini 4 needs filters!), but there are times when you don't want any filters...

Good to know they are available - I'd checked the DJI store, plus well known auction sites, and the the common Chinese site you often find this stuff on, to no avail.

It's not really a "Lens Cover" It's hollow. A UV Filter won't affect your imagery to any degree, but will surely protect the actual lens.

Now would be a good opportunity to get something else.  So when are those times when you don't want anything on there?  You can prob get away with leaving an 8 filter on it.

This happened to me and DJI wanted me to send the whole drone in just to have that piece put on. Pretty stupid. Like others have said, you can buy an aftermarket lens cover or mail your drone in.

I know that this is probably a language barrier issue...

All the original poster, TheBoy ,  is asking is to purchase the piece that you take off to install an ND filter.

That would be like asking us to send in the drone to have a propeller installed!!!!

I am desperately trying to understand the logic in your reply, as it doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I am not sending the drone back overseas just to have a small piece of removable plastic put back on. Thanks not ecologically sustainable.

I raised a support case, then when they sent me the return label, emailed them back saying how ridiculous it was to send the drone back for this.

They then contacted the warehouse, and sold me one at a sensible price, but extortionate postage!
