DJI Mini 4 Pro was running low on battery and I didn't want it returning to home. I wanted it to land in front of me on the tarmac. I brought it to a hover - about 2 feet and it took awhile to do land. It actually bounced on 3 attempts, which I wish to avoid in future.  There was big red circle on the screen.  The tarmac was wet and mid-day sun was shining down, so wondering if this confused the sensors.

  • Why did it happen?
  • How do I avoid it in future and force it down to land where it is safe to avoid bouncing like that?

Not being awkward but what are you seeking?
You ask no questions.

I would land it on my hand rather than on wet ground.

Hi,

Most likely a bottom sensor not able to measure height...

I am asking how to avoid this in future.

I'd be inclined to land the drone on your hand rather that wet ground, I hand launch/land vitually all my drones.
If nothing else it prevents grit and water being blown off theground on to the drone and camera lens.
