DJI Mini 4 Pro turns on its rear aircraft status indicator when it stops capturing videos. Furthermore, the aircraft front LEDs of the DJI Mini 3 Pro will normally turned off during recording to ensure the quality is not affected. Hope this helps. Thank you for your understanding.

It's normal because DJI probably limited it to show other drones but I have 12 DJI drones. So if we could make these LEDs light up I could also use the drone in the evening. Otherwise I will have to buy drones from other brands because it is the European law (Easa) that obliges and also it is certainly safer to return the drone while it is in flight. The Mini 3 Pro also turns off the LEDs when recording. I reiterate that this limitation decreases safety!

I just add a small strobe light to the drone for night flight,  far more visible than the green built in leds.

Nothing can be added to the drone of this type because it must remain within 250 grams, according to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency regulations, otherwise it will not be able to be used in residential areas. You also need non-strobe green lights. There may be checks by the municipal police even weighing the drone. The only possibility is that either you can't fly when there is no light or I have to buy a new drone from another brand which I have also seen at a good price and which They have Sony sensors in the camera. But it would be easier for DJI to understand the importance of these green lights at night in Europe and allow them to be turned on when recording video. The problem is with the Mini 3 Pro and the Mini 4 Pro and allows these green lights to turn on. I repeat, I have 12 DJI drones: I hope I don't have to change partners because of these green LEDs that DJI could access with a simple update and which probably doesn't allow it to buy the other superior dorins that I have but can't use always in areas where there are people. So I am forced to use the smaller drones. In my opinion, not having these green lights turned on opens the way to the acquisition of competitors because if I, who have 12 drones, have started to look at other brands of lesser importance, it means that I have no other choice, because I want to respect the regulations and not having problems with my drone being seized and responsibilities of various kinds with the authorities.

I know the official reason why DJI does not turn on the green lights of the drone while recording a video but if it were the real reason it would allow them to be turned on in the Mini 4 Pro which does not have LEDs in front but behind so it would not give boredom with the quality of the video. Then let the pilots choose whether to turn on these green lights even during recording. I have 12 DJI drones and I wouldn't want to start changing brands for my drones just because of this thing that could be handled with a simple update from DJI. But for me it is important in Europe because the law is clear and checks are carried out. In general, the aeronautical code applies for sanctions as for aircraft. So I am forced to find a solution that does not affect the weight of the drone which must remain within 250 grams.

Thats not strictly true,  If you add weight it just changes which category you can fly in.

Of course, that's why I have 4 Mini drones within 250 grams and 1 Mavic 3 Cine classified C1. But only with the Minis do the municipal police in various cities not cause me any problems due to the weight and the fact that it is certified "harmless". Many of them run away when they see the police approaching with the drone. I'm not among them. I want to fly 100% in order Quibdii I hope that DJI will allow the green LEDs to light up to be in order and not to start changing gears. But the choice to purchase another 2 or 3 drones with green LEDs during registration will be made by December, so as not to miss out on commercial opportunities.

I know this is an older topic, but I was thinking that in the us dji would not have to have the running lights out when recording since you are supposed to have nav lights that can be seen for 3 or so miles. Those lights on the m4p would have to be added and could not and should not be turned off anytime at night.

What purpose does it serve to have the navigation lights turn off at night when you're recording? Doesn't make any sense and seems like it would be an easy fix with a firmware update. Night is when you most need the lights to see the drone.

I am also waiting for this problem to be solved. In fact, it seems trivial and I hope that the next update will solve the problem

Hello everyone.

One more vote so our dear DJI can change this situation.  I would love for it to change on my DJI Mini 3 Pro, but if it doesn't, at least try to give us some kind of user interface to fiddle with the lights on the next drones.
