Hello friends,

I ordered 2 officially by DJI recommended Kingston SDCG3 128GB Canvas Go! Plus micro SD cards for my freshly purchased mini 4 pro and now it only gets recognized in the settings of the RC2 controller, but not in the fly app (says "No SD card").

I don't wanna try endless other ones, so someone please recommend me one that actually works (preferably small capacity like this 128 GB one with fast writing).

Thanks in advance and greetings

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry for the trouble. Please try to reformat the SD card on your computer and set the computer to exFAT then check if the issue persists. Make sure also that the SD card is well inserted into the unit. Hope this helps. Have a nice day ahead.

Was already in exFat but I still tried. Nope, still the same. Firmware is latest version btw.
A 1.129€ product that can’t even properly read an SD card - produced in 2023. Mindblowing!

Not really the start with the drone I had imagined!

Which card now? I'll try one more before I return the drone. Can’t believe the micro SD card is even recommended by you guys

if you run windows test each card with H2testw, it is slow, maybe two hours per card, but good. There are other card checkers out the but you will have to google them.

I want to get a recommendation officially by DJI or someone who can confirm it works - and not order cards I run tests with!

I use SAMSUNG Evo Plus 256GB V30 U3 A2. I also have a SANDISK EXTREME PRO 64GB V30 U3 A1.
NB! Always check that the SD card is formatted to ExFat

We do apologize for the trouble. This is not the experience we want you to have. You may try to use other recommended SD cards on our website to further isolate the issue. Feel free to contact us if the issue persists after using another recommended SD card. Thank you for your understanding.

I have the same card. Samsung evo select which is just the Amazon brand of the same card. Didn't even format it just put it in the drone and started recording.

In other words: I am still searching for a WORKING micro SD card for the CONTROLLER (preferably 128GB with fast writing). Feedback much appreciated!

In my controller I'm just using a SanDisk Extreme 64GB I took out of another device. No issues so far.
Make sure you buy from a reputable source. There are a lot of fake cards out there which don't achieve the specs of the originals. They are difficult to detect, they look just like the originals, even the packaging is copied very well.

same here

Patriot EP 64GB V30 A1 not supported
PNY PRO Elite 128GB U1 not supported

both ExFAT formatted and have around 70 MB/s write on 3 GB Black Magic speed test - for me seems to be enough for HD screen record or am I wrong?

I think it's a bad joke with this compatibility. I know that speed is important but we are talking about HD screen record or path save od SD card inserted to controller. give me a break

I have today just bought the Mavic Mini 4 Pro and the recommended Lexar 1066x 512GB V30 U3 A2 microSDXC card is NOT recognized. Controller sees it the drone refuses to acknowledge it. I have formatted this card in the exFat with 3 combinations of 32 KB, 64 KB, and 128 KB allocation units... and NOTHING works in this drone. After paying $1150 for this drone only to get burnt by the $80 recommended card does not work (which I bought last November 23 and can not return) I am quite perturbed to say the least I have an old Samsung Evo 128GB card that works just fine that I bought 4 years ago. Clearly I am not the only one having this issue @DJI... do you guys even verify what you recommend?? Seams not, and spending money like a addict with a gambling habit on SD cards HOPING they will work is NOT an option for me!! I am so frustrated.... I have a real good mind to return the drone at this point! ARRRRrrrrrr......

Perhaps your way-too-big Lexar card is faulty.
Perhaps it's a counterfeit.
Worry if the drone won't recognise any cards.
But don't get over-excited because one individual card doesn't work.

I agree with Labroides, you should first figure out the problems with the card, and not blame the drone. Try other cards, borrow them from someone else's devices for a while.

I have just got a Mini 4 pro today and the Sandisk 32gb Ultra card will not work in the RC2 controller. This card worked perfectly in the RC controller for my Mini 3 pro.The card is recognised in the drone and the 128gb card in the drone (Sandisk as well) is recognised in the RC2. I have re formatted the 32gb to ex fat and in the drone itself but no joy. I don't want to go and get a new card when this one is recognised by everything else except the RC2. Has there been a fix for SD cards not working with the RC2?

Sandisk Ultra are slow cards.
You don't need a card in the controller anyway.
But your issue is most likely related to that individual card anyway, not the hardware you are trying to use it in.

I know i don't need a card in my controller but i (like many other people) choose to.
I'm not sure if you just replied without reading my post. The card worked previously in the RC controller on my Mini 3 pro. In fact i tried it last night and it still does but it doesn't in the RC2. so i would say it is not an issue with my card as it works on my MacBook and any other device i've tried. I'm not sure if the RC2 needs a different card if so DJI should put out a list of compatible cards they have fully tested.

Anyway, i am lucky that i live close to a DJI shop so i will take my Mini 4 Pro in today and see what they say.

I have the same Lexar x1066 but 128GB and is working like a dream out of the box. It's much faster than my previous Sandisk Extreme pro. The Lexar has better writting speed, than the Sandisk Extreme Pro.

True story bro!

Same problem with SDXC card in DJI RC 2 controller! Wrong memory card slot loading.
Tried 5 different micro SD cards and the result is the same... Notification: "remote controller micro sd card not supported"
I also tried restarting, all Firmware download and update, all 5 SD card formatted exFat.
But it's strange because at first the card in the controller worked, then suddenly, right after the update, this problem.
Its really irony bcs 1,2k dollars, the year is written 2023 and this device has a problem with loading cards. xDDDD

A strong feeling of returning to the year 2007 and Sony Ericsson K530i <3
I thank you from the bottom of my heart DJI <3333

Now i try last choice, the factory reset RC 2 controller.
EDIT: factory reset didn't work, my remote control RC 2 still won't load the micro SDXC card. Fast firmware is on the point.

I had the same issue.  My drone SD is U3 (fast) but my controller SD is U1 (slow).  That didn't matter as it failed to load!  It was already formatted to exFat but reformatting it cured the problem.  I have also not yet had a problem with the speed (I suspect the data transfer in the controller is much slower than in the drone, but I do not know that).

Hi there! We would like to apologize for the inconvenience. If the SD card read and write speed is too low, it may cause video loss. It is recommended that you use an SD card from the recommended list on the DJI official website. Please be advised to use the recommended SD card by DJI for DJI Mini 4 Pro as below:

-SanDisk Extreme PRO 32GB V30 U3 A1 microSDHC
-Lexar 1066x 64GB V30 U3 A2 microSDXC
-Lexar 1066x 128GB V30 U3 A2 microSDXC
-Lexar 1066x 256GB V30 U3 A2 microSDXC
-Lexar 1066x 512GB V30 U3 A2 microSDXC
-Kingston Canvas GO! Plus 64GB V30 U3 A2 microSDXC
-Kingston Canvas GO! Plus 128GB V30 U3 A2 microSDXC
-Kingston Canvas React Plus 64GB V90 U3 A1 microSDXC
-Kingston Canvas React Plus 128GB V90 U3 A1 microSDXC
-Kingston Canvas React Plus 256GB V90 U3 A1 microSDXC
-Samsung EVO Plus 512GB V30 U3 A2 microSDXC

I hope you have got the solution you were expecting. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
