I really like filming with the DJI Pocket 2!
It's so small that I don't even notice having it with me.
And the footage always surprises me (considering the small size of the camera)
Last Sunday I only took the Pocket 2 with me on a walk in the forest with my sister, nephew and the middle daughter.

Great family outing Peter. No sign of the Ninja-walk effect. How did you eliminate that?  Or were you on a scooter?

Ninja walking is the way to do that.

That won't work here in the forest. But for pavements, sure. It works. Just don't fall off.....

A folding electric bike to carry in the car is a possibility.

Yeah, that should give some smooth results. Although I do like to hold the P2 in my hand (steering with the other) to get the most 'smooth' results. As the tiny shakes and bumps translate into the footage very much.

Whay worries me is the tendency of the batteries to explode into flame whilst charging

There has been a spate of house fires caused by defective batteries ( or possibly chargers) being left charging unattended overnight.  Scooters and eBikes.
And even some cars and buses.

You are right about those. It is still a bad combination of chemicals that are inside a battery.

If they separate the chemicals enough, it should not happen.

I think the swelling of the batteries is something similar. Just less dangerous.

Very nice POVs and such a stable movement overall, wish I had a Ninja Walk like that, but every time I try, it ends up failing either being too shaky, being too much of a burden to my back or me feeling too embarrased to walk in public like that Oh well, I think I'll try to practice more with the Z-Axis Stabilizer I got from ScottyMakesStuff.

But I digress, great footage and a great memory to keep for the years to come

Thanks. Yeah, practicing a lot with that walk.... And it looks stupid, but... I don't care really.
Oh yes, I have been thinking about that too, but then again, the reason why I use the P2 is because of it's size and convenience. So having to add one more thing is another reason 'not' to use it (for me).

Well, having the confidence to carry on without caring about it certainly pays off in the end results

I do see your point there and do somewhat agree upon it, what makes it a bit different in this case though is that this is a "micro" version that doubles up as a carry case and won't be much bigger than the camera itself when the Pocket 2 is folded inside it. So it still remains somewhat portable.

If you want to see more, you can check the model at https://eu.scottymakesstuff.com/ ... 4th-axis-in-case-eu

Yes, that does look quite compact still.
Does it require setup time? (like from in your pocket to ready to shoot)
