Hi every one, just got my new Action 4 and i noticed a problem when using ANY external microfone.
When i try to quick record by pressing the record button, it aprears that the camera takes a while to identify the microfone.
It takes like 10 seconds to start using the external mic. So the video always start super loud and after some secconds it drops to normal.
have anyone experienced this?

Has anyone tried a Battery powered mic to the USB c port so its 100% active  while the DJI needs time to energiz  the port?  its quite the Norm when we use the QS.  IMHO

If you connect a power bank to the DJI Audio Adapter and a TRS microphone is plugged in, the microphone is recognized immediately.

Cool, unfortunately the audio adapter is not currently available in my country. So  I'm running out of options

This doesn't just work with the DJI Audio Adapter, you could also test other adapters that support charging and audio at the same time.
It also worked for me with these adapters:

You may have to follow a certain order when plugging things in, but once it works then it is reliable.

i'll try this, but its really bad.
I have to have a power bank and a bunch of wires secured to a helmet.

I don't use it in this configuration on the motorcycle either, so I prefer to cut off the first 1-2 seconds.

In addition, If the external microphone supports an internal recording function (such as DJI Mic), please enable internal recording simultaneously to ensure that there is backup audio available for future use. the fix here will now be Power on always first not QS

Would you care to elaborate on the order which got the second one of those working? The "Belkin RockStar™ 3.5mm Audio + USB-C" unit I mean.

As the Belkin USB C - 2 USB C seems to work I took a chance and got the USB C - > USB C + 3.5mm but I never get the external microphone detected.

Nevermind, it was a TRRS/TRS-issue...

Just to let everybody know, after the last update (https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=297209), my camera consistently start the external mic in 2 to 3 secconds.
So its much better now.

I recently purchased the action 4 camera along with the clip on usb c microphone adapter from DGI. Within 3 weeks the adapter has stopped working. Both for charging or the 3.5mm mic jack. Is there a quick fix?
