Grabbed a quick shot with the Pocket 3 of the new turkish barbers and their wild colour scheme.   Sadly it was too windy for the Mini 3 and too windy for the planned pocket 3 timelapse,   it would have been blown away this morning.

There are two of them within 100 yards of eachother on the high street here - nothing that exotic.
I'm amazed they keep going, but they seem to have put the local incumbent out of business. That property is now advertised to let.

It's very typical of a Turkish place here,   especially that black marble.

The last 5 years or so they have really started to spring up here,   Turkish Barbours and Turkish restaurants are just everywhere now,  a bit like the boom in lady nail bars.

Same here with all the ladies nail salons.  However, here it is mostly Asians that work in or own them.  I'm seeing more and more Thai restaurants opening.  I tried one of the new ones and the food was very spicy but good.

We dont have many Thai restaurants around my area,   there is one Ive been to a few times and its always been a lovely meal.

I'm thinking because there has been a large influx of Thai people coming to Florida that is why we are seeing more Thai restaurants.  The good news is you rarely see any of them getting Health or Sanitation violations.  There was a Mexican restaurant that never got less than a dozen minor violations and many times they got closed down for a couple of days for a major violation.

We have that we some of the Chinese restaurants,  but they found a loophole where if they get shutdown they just swap restaurants with another family that also got shutdown, then both can re open.

Well, I guess that is one way go get around the Health and Sanitation Inspectors.

It was funny as Id gone to school with a girl that worked in one,  and one day her parent takeaway closed,  and a month or two later I popped into a takeaway in the next town and there she was,   Id asked what had happened and as I knew her she explained the loop hole.    I never did manage to ask her about the rabbits though.

Oh, much more to that story then.  

I find it interesting that many people go into the restaurant business without experience in that industry.  Statistics show that 57% of all new single owner restaurants fail within the first 6 months.  #1 reason is lack of funding as in the owner failed to include his salary in his business plan.  #2 reason has a tie between poor location and lack of industry experience.  A friend of mine that now owns 3 restaurants says his strategy for success includes savvy leadership, experienced staff, a delicious menu and a little bit of magic.

I do like the purple/blue shades in the picture, but that gold and black marble do feel exccesive.

I am not wondering why such businesses would like to give their customers that high-life luxury feeling. They are attempting to make them feel that they get the style in these places, after all.

Now that is quite vibrant for sure.

They started popping up here about 7 years ago and more and more just keep opening.    We joke about how many of them do you need.   A bit like the nail bar fad we have here I guess.

Yeah, those nail things were very common here too. But they did not stick.

Well, now that you mention it, I do know somebody who does this.
She is on IG and I was given some of her posts a while ago. But I chose to ignore them, so IG does not show these anymore.
