did my nut in editing it was orginally 12 x 5 sec clips then i was like lets push boat out n do something different

You need to take the video ID from the end of the URL and swap it with a normal video url thats not a short.

Ah ok. I tried that once, but preferred my 'trusty old' Vegas Pro.

iv never used it, I was using DaVinci but found the learning curve very steep and complex adobe just seemed to fit in well

It's lightyears more easy than Davinci.
I use both, but Davinci only for edits that need a lot of special work.

Mainly tracking. Vegas Pro 18 is not good at that.

I think it's the best editor out there in terms of speed of editing.
I'll have to think hard what exactly makes it faster than Davinci, but it's just very quick (for me at least) and I have not found that flow in Davinci yet. (after 6 years using it)

Yea tho ill be honest i spent a lot of time in the last 6 months especaillly learning how to edit better

A lot of my footage is ment for 'home usage' and for those truckloads of footage, speed of editing is important (for me).
It's all about getting something that is watchable for us and not like 5h long.
So with Vegas, it's very easy to just drag everything in the timeline and start trimming away.
Somehow with Davinci, it keeps doing things I don't like on other tracks, removing parts, moving parts etc.
I'm sure it could be user error, but so far I have not found out how to change that behavior.
But I'll try and make a comparison someday.

ah yes, when I was doing my season long videos it was taking 4 times longer due to it acting the pain in rear end with similar

It's simple things like making markers and cutting on the playhead that I just have not found in Davinci yet (and searching is difficult because the terms are usually specific)

i couldnt agree more hence why the swtich to adobe was made easier

I tried it once, but was overwhelmed back then.
This was ages ago, so I'm not sure how it looks now.
All I know is that it is crazy expensive these days (and I don't want any subscriptions for software, so I ditched Adobe completely unfortunately)
