hola,

i saw on some youtube mini 4 pro waypoint videos, that users can tell the drone to continue the waypoint mission, if signal contact is lost during the mission. i dont have this option available on my waypoint menu. how on earth? would be quite important to have this option. again something in regulation with EU law? im within EU...

It's EU regulations.
''would be quite important to have this option'',  why do you think it is important? Genuine question.
Nine times out of ten, if the signal is lost then the drone is not anywhere that you can see it, having the drone in sight is a requirement of the regulations, isn't it?

So the EU mandating that this feature be disabled is in effect disabling a feature that otherwise would likely be used to break the law, that makes perfect sense to me.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. Due to EU regulations, there is no "Continue" option at Signal Lost behavior for the Waypoint function from DJI Fly v1.11.0 or later. Should you have other inquiries, feel free to contact us. We appreciate your understanding and support.

Very simple: in doing 360 turns around i.e. church towers and similar small towers impressive footage could be produced. But due to a short and small break if signal is lost, when drone runs behind the tower just for some meters, the whole shot could be ruined - even if u're close as 20 meters.

In that case I'd agree that the proposed flight in a reasonable reason but, unfortunately, there are too many idiots who use the feature to fly way beyond visual range and control range and some of those flights have been dangerous.

i see it even that disabling this feature encorages idiots to do even more dumb things: as flying - and standing - close to an object - as the tower for instance - it is even more likely u lose signal by standing close. as this featuere is not vailabale, it will lead to people going far away to have better control on signal. and then they will do even more flights without direct sight...

but as the other guy stated, EASA strikes again... not really thought through and - es in EU already standard - getting more and more restrictive in so many areas - instead of encouraging people to rely more an self-responsibility. its all about forbidden, forbidden, forbidden...

The EU needs to go! It's only about controlling people, not improving humanity. It's dumb that this option gets disabled. It's counter to safety of flight.

I would lobby the EU, but it's a literal dictatorship.
