Veurne and Ypres are both historic cities located in the Westhoek region of Belgium.



Veurne, with its picturesque market square and Gothic architecture, exudes a rustic charm.

Ypres, known for its impressive fortifications, has a tragic history from the First World War. The Menin Gate, an iconic memorial, honors the fallen soldiers. Ypres' Grand Place is surrounded by beautiful buildings and offers a lively atmosphere with cozy restaurants and shops.
Both cities are connected by their location in the Westhoek, a region characterized by rolling landscapes, picturesque villages, and a rich culinary tradition.
Both Veurne and Ypres attract visitors with their historical allure and the opportunity to uncover the traces of the past.


Everything is shot with Dji Mini 2, Dji Osmo Pocket 3 and Dji Osmo Action 4

First indoor shot from the curch was actually the Saint Gorge church founded in 1922 by the angelsacian society for the British that stayed in Belgium after the first world war. The Bugles that you hear at that moment in the background is the begining of the last post that they do at Menin Gate each day. And that already for about 90 years (except during ww 2)

Yeah, that is Ypres.
I have been there some years ago.
We slept in a BnB close to that gate.
