Sounds like it is a great outlet for the artist to showcase their work and legally at that.

Ive noticed that where ever they setup a legal place to do it, you get some really nice pieces,  but where its not legal its 99% of the time rubbish.

So the better graffiti artist most probably only participate in the legal places, especially those that are interested in promoting their work.

At it's best, graffiti can certainly be a form of art. Even better when it's in a legal spot.

That and time must be a factor,    the legal spots you have all the time you want,  whereas in the illegal places you're rushing to avoid being caught.

Yes, that's a good point.  No doubt the adrenaline if pulsing in the veins while doing it illegally.

We went done when they were painting them and it was fascinating to watch,  and of course they have lots of different nozzles for their spray cans for different effects.

I have participated in some events long time ago and these artists are (some at least) very talented.
It was super interesting to see and indeed. Lots of nozzles.

You can still find the old nozzles on the floor in some places months after they finished.

Im guessing because it gets so rushed,  although I really like the Banksy work but thats technically done with stencils.

I have not been around people that spray for years, so I don't know why.
