Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I’m experiencing a persistent issue with my DJI Osmo Pocket 3, and I’m hoping someone here can help. I’m not sure if I’m posting in the right place, but I noticed similar issues being discussed here and thought it might be worth a try.
Here’s a detailed description of the problem:
1. Charging Issue:
• The camera detects the USB connection when plugged in (the charging indicator lights up).
• However, it only charges from 0% to a maximum of 12–13%, and then stops.
• I’ve tried multiple cables and chargers, but the issue persists.
2. Steps I’ve Taken:
• Updated the firmware to the latest version.
• Performed a factory reset.
• Tried the reset method by holding the record button for more than 10 seconds.
• Tested it with an official DJI external power bank – the camera detects it but still doesn’t charge.
3. Additional Observations:
• The camera emits a faint high-pitched sound near the charging port when it stops charging. This sound is absent otherwise.
• When connected to a computer via USB, the connection constantly cycles: connect, disconnect, reconnect, etc.
4. Repair Situation:
• I’m currently traveling in Asia (currently in the Philippines).
• I visited an official DJI repair center, but they said the camera needs to be sent to Hong Kong for repairs, which is not an option for me right now.
• My warranty is European, and I won’t be back in Europe until August.
5. Next Steps:
• I’m looking for any DIY solutions I can try on my own to fix this issue while I’m traveling.
• If no solution is available, I may have to purchase a second camera temporarily, which I’d prefer to avoid.
I haven’t used the camera much, so I’m really surprised to encounter this problem. If anyone has experienced a similar issue or has suggestions on what I can try, I’d greatly appreciate your advice.
Thank you for your help! |
