You are going to have a very bad time with drones with that attitude. Your point is that everything is the pilot's responsibility and that the drone should have no smarts of its own. Even commercial aircraft and jet fighters have smart software to aid the pilot when something goes wrong. The smarter the drone is, the less chance you have of crashing it. Return to home and the altitude setting are just smart features that need to be upgraded a bit. If DJI had done what you are suggesting, those features would not exist since you should never have flown out of range to begin with. |
