Hello all, I have been on the Facebook Ronin for D forums, and there are several people that have had the same issues as me. There hasn’t been one good answer though, especially from DJI itself. A lot of people are having erratic behaviors with the Z access. it goes up and down erratically at times, not all the time, but it has been happening more and more. It seems as though the sensors on the bottom are not seeing the ground. Do we have an answer for this? There is no DJI official response. To me, it seems as though it’s a software/firmware issue, not the actual hardware. But we need an answer .

Thank you,

Todd

I am having this issue as well.

From what I’ve figured out, it has to do with the sensors on the bottom and tilting the body forward. It throws off the sensors when it can’t figure out where the ground is, making the gimbal arm go crazy.

DJI? Please answer the question above about the erratic behavior regarding the Z-axis arm.

I am experiencing this as well. It starts to move up and down quite fast for no reason. First I thought it was something blocking the sensors or that I held the camera in a too steep angle. But I tested it tonight with the camera almost horizontal and still some erratic behavior.
It seems to get worse over time…
This in combination with the audio XLR’s not working at all on the expansion plate gets me rethinking my purchase… and I don’t want that. I love shooting with the 4D but it has to be reliable!

DJI?! any comments?!
