I wandered through there the other morning and there were a few that had lost their vinyl sidings,  not sure I recall what they are officially called.

I just came out of the workshop with SWMBOd as we had been playing with the cyanotype printing and she nearly lost my workshop door to wind.     Seems I may have found the solution to my printing issues,    just tried some different glass and got completely different results to previous attempts,   im beginning to think the really cheap glass I bought actually is UV resistant.

You're very welcome DA.  I'd rather have good luck than no luck at all.  In your case I think that the hard work and efforts you invest puts you where the good luck can easily find you.

It is a little odd though find foreign currency on two occasions now.

Im really not getting the air time I do usually.  Hopefully snow later and I can get up for that.  But Im prepared to be disappointed.

Dealing with the same here. It's been grey for a week with lots of rain. We had some sleet too. I had to cancel a planned flight yesterday. patiently waiting. Today should be nice.

A bit before C19 hit I was walking under the Castle and came across about 200 American dollars,   that was really odd,    but It was handy as a friend was off to the USA and I wanted him to bring me back some items so I gave him the dollars for it.

Yes we are getting flooding today. No Snow. Hopefully it will clear. I have two construction jobs Thursday and Friday. Hoping the weather cooperates. They have both been previously cancelled due to all this rain and fog.

Just seems weird to me that Ive found more foreign money than local in the last few years.

Could be that the area you are in draws in more tourists and hence the chance that they lose some off their money while out and about.  I did some metal detecting several times on my property but found no money but I did found 4 musket balls.  Probably date back to the civil war.

Neither spots are really touristy places,   the first 10 euro I found was by the gate in todays shot and thats really only a shortcut to the railway or a place for dog walkers.

That would be lovely and I certainly would not admit to finding that,    sadly my new years day find which was probably worth quite a lot of money was not something I could cash in.

Still made for an exciting find though.  Supposedly, there was some pirate's gold buried in or nearby my property.  I tried out the metal detector several times in spots that I thought might be a good hiding location but all I found were those old musket balls.  Could be those were only rumors and nothing ever got buried nearby.

Are the musket balls dateable?   Could be interesting to figure out how they got there.

The company I sent one of them to said that because the ball measured 0.63 it most probably came from a Charleville-style French musket, which were supplied to the Continental Army.  So they surmised 1700s.

Yeah, I was totally surprised when I found out the date.  Initially, I was thinking it would be of Spanish origin as that was the country that claimed the land that is now called Florida. I did find a civil war era uniform belt buckle but it was really corroded.

Since Christmas weve seen quite a lot of people metal detecting,   we were wondering if it was this years Christmas present fad or just that people had more time to get out.    Although that said theres been a steep increase in the amount of flat earth related graffiti.  But who ever does that only uses chalks.
