Cute train,  is that an Amtrak?

Nice shot of the train. What's a 1 and 9 ?  Is it like the old "Five and Dime" stores of the last century?

Yes it is. This area has rails all over the place. Lots of freight trains too.

I saw an old picture of someone riding an Amtrak train years ago and there was something about the shape that gelt like it could have been the same.

I'm pretty sure he is referring to Routes 1 and 9 in Newark, NJ.

They do. It's an old line. Our rail systems aren't well taken care of

It seems that they are adding a series of roads here to alleviate traffic. I few over it for 2 hours and I still don't have my bearings. The roads wind through swampland and go alongside all of the warehouses that are being built. Half of what I referenced on Google earth is completely changed. It was a learning experience. I added over 8 miles to my flights yesterday.

During my tour at the American Embassy in London I learned quickly about the differences between American and British English include pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary (lexis), spelling, punctuation, idioms, and formatting of dates and numbers. Lots of different dialects can confuse things also.

I would assume that their interpretation is usually correct because it is English. We must have screwed things up along the way.

Yep, we had to put our on spin on spelling, pronunciation and develop our own dialects.  We definitely don't use the Queen's English as they used to tell me when I was stationed at the American Embassy in London.

That is common here in NL too. Most older railroads were built like that. But in Sweden they did something clever. They made much better railcars, that can go faster on these older tracks.
