Hello!

I have videos set to 4k 120 fps. Play back is normal on the device and through the Mimo app but when I download off the app the videos start regular for a few seconds before becoming slow motion. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you!

I have the same problem. When I download videos to my Mac, every video has the exact same middle section as slow motion, as in attached pic. Please advise how to fix this. Thank you.

I downloaded the DJI lightcut app and that seems to have solved the issue.

Hi, I’ve experienced the same issue. The only fix I have found so far when opening the video on my Mac in QuickTime is to click and drag the timeline bar at the bottom that shows the playback speed to the right so it recognises it as normal speed rather than normal - slow-mo - normal. If you then drag the top timeline back to the beginning and press play again it will play your video at normal speed. Save the file before you close and you won’t need to redo when you play the video again. Not ideal but gets round the issue temporarily. Hope that helps.

I’m on vacation and all my videos recorded from today are playing back in slow motion on my iPhone.  This is unacceptable.

Hi all, I too am having the same issue,

4K 120

Playback on the Action4 is fine, but as soon as I transfer to my iPhone 15 Pro Max I experience the same issue where after a few seconds it starts to play in slow mo.

Any word from DJI on this bug?

21 August 2024. Brand new DJI Osmo Action 4, I have used a Sandisk and the reccomeneded LEXAR SDXC 1066X V30 micro SD cards; when using play back the videos are fine on the osmo action 4. When viewing the videos on my macbook air wether on the SD card or downloaded all videos have the slow-faster-normal-slow playback. I have tired moving the timeline/scroll bar on quicktime player app but this does not fix it. I cannot find a fix to this issue.

I've got exactly the same issue - 27/8/24.

Also no matter which way I upload my videos / pictures from the Osmo to my MacBook they never appear in iPhotos. I have to download the files into a file, then drag and drop the files into iPhoto. My DJI Drone, no issues whatsoever ever. I think it's the file naming but there appears to be no way to change this?

Seems like DJI have mastered the ability to provide great upgrades vs competitors with other 'simple' elements lacking.

Any ideas on either problem?

Hello, so I work in Birmingham where we have an Apple Store and a DJI shop. I went into both yesterday to discuss the above. In essence, because its being filmed (in my case anyway) in 100FPS, the Photos App on apple products (MacBook, iPhone etc) thinks that 100FPS is a slow motion video because of the amount of FPS. If you shot a slow mo on an iPhone it'd be c120FPS, so that's why it thinks it's a slow mo. We tried a few different MacBooks in the Apple Store and it happened with them all.

If you play the videos through a third party software or iMovie, it keeps it as a 'normal' video. So in short it's a problem with the Photos app on apple and not DJI etc. The people in both DJI and Apple said if you shoot at 60FPS it shouldn't happen but they all agreed it's not a great work around given we want to shoot in higher quality. I haven't raised anything with Apple or know if there's any photos settings to adjust etc but the gent at Apple spent a while trying to see if there was anything and came to the conclusion that there isn't anything you can change, which he admitted wasn't great and apologised!

The people in DJI hadn't come across this issue with anyone else but I did show them this page.

Hope that somewhat helps...!
