A Short flight at Kilmar Torr

A little bumpy in the footage as the Mini 3 was battling some severe winds.

Nice reveal shot peeping over the ridge. No hint of wind disturbance until about 1m20sec.

The Mini 3 did well,  although it was a struggle to get back,  at one point it was struggling to move into wind.

I was going to say the same thing...your M3P handled the wind

Lovely footage DA.    Looks like a great place for walking, hiking and flying.  Only thing that would make it look even better would be a nice coating of snow.

I wouldn't have flown in those winds over water,  but worse case I had planned to just land and go and find it.

Im not sure I would have been able to get there in the snow.     The roads to get to the base of it would probably have been impassable and I doubt that they get gritted.

Yeah the snow probably would have made for a terrible commute.  Guess we will just have to fast forward to the day when 1 man helicopters are available everywhere.

There's parking at 50.556429, -4.460058 which is probably close enough to fly it without the walk up to it.

That's interesting that even the Google car didn't go up there.  Guess they just weren't up for the challenge.

It was a terrible road,   luckily I had a 4x4 that I didnt own.

Good thing you had the 4x4 then.  Is that a popular spot?  If so you'd think they'd maintain the roads a bit better.

There's a few ways to get to it,  whilst we were there we only saw the farmer so I couldnt say how popular it is.

Could be that is why the roads are not better maintained then.  Also looking at it on a Google map it is quite remote.
