Hi, I've only had my Action 4 for a week and one thing is confusing me.

In the colour (color) menu, I have the options of "Normal 10bit" or "D-Log 10bit".

The thing is, the 10bit sometimes doesn't show next to Normal. I did have a message come up saying it was switching to 8bit video due to low light but even after taking the camera outdoors, I can't get the Normal 10bit mode back.

I know what 10bit and D-log is, I just don't know why 10bit keeps appearing and then disappearing from the Normal colour profile.

Mystery solved!
It's because I had set it to H.264 mode. You can only have Normal 10bit in HEVC.
