Hi guys,
Anyone knows if it is possible to use a 64gb SD Card in the P3S? I keep receiving a initializing card message in the DJI Go App. And when I try to format I receive a error message.

Thanks

I understand there are only certain cards that will work/are recommended.   I am on my phone so difficult to search but there is a post about this in the forum

Manual Page 28:

The Phantom 3 Standard comes with an 8 GB Micro SD, but also supports Micro SD cards with a
capacity of up to 64 GB. It is recommended using a UHS-1 or Class 10 Micro SD card to minimize
the delay when reading or writing high resolution image files.

I bought a Kingston 64gb XC class 10. For a reason, it’s not working! :-( I’ll look on the forum to see what others are saying about this! Thanks again Stan1970... you’re the man! :-)

I’m guessing the XC option on the card might be the problem. XC stand for Extend Capacity. I tried to format to both FAT and ExFAT with the same issue at the end. :-(

Yes the max is 64gb. A card capable of writing at least 40mbps. I personally buy the fastest "write" card available

Hi Flight Raptor, You had to format the card to use at first?

I have a 64gb card in both of my quads, they are both Samsung EVO series class 10 UHS-1, I have tried other brands...all brands except Samsung and Sandisk failed eventually.  Some of them just stopped working, others got unfix-able file system errors.  I have had "bad luck" with Kingston, Patriot, and Lexar of various sizes.

If you want to spend a few extra bucks, the Samsung Pro series has a much better transfer rate than the EVO.  I am waiting for Fry's to have a sale on the Pro series and i plan on picking up two of them

Hi...actually, I did not...it worked out of the pkg.  However, were I to format it, I would use FAT32 as the format.

Sandisk class 10 is usually a safe bet for most video.

Hi puredzign, did the Samsung 64GB card work for you? I am having the same problem. When I put a new SanDisk 64GB micro SD card in my Phantom 3 Standard (SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-1). I get a micro SD card error.  Also, I cannot format the card using the DJI GO app because of this error.
I placed the card into a computer and the computer can read it fine.

I tried the SanDisk 64gb card on my P3S and it kept giving me an 'Invalid SD Card' error. I just picked up the Samsung 64gb card as linked above and works with no issue.

I had the exact same issue with that card.  It worked in my laptop but I got an error when inserted into the P3S.  I replaced it with the SanDisk Ultra Plus UHS-1 micro SDXC.  It was able to recognize and format the new "Plus" card, although I haven't tested it while in flight yet.

Yes, I use a 64 gig SanDIsk in my P3S. Get the highest quality one for yours, it gets the best performance for the Standard.

I'm still in doubt. See the link (below). In this way I have to conclude that the camera of P3S would be compatible with the SDXC standard.https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/sdxc_capabilities/index.html

I use a 128gb SanDisk Ultra plus class 10. Works great. Most devices will run higher storage cap sd cards than their pre-dated specs show. 200gb micro sd cards already out. Waiting on the price drop.

I'm confused as I've been emailing DJI EU support and they've told me (1) that P3S doesn't support SDXC cards, and (2) that P3S supports 64GB Class 10 / UHS1 cards. However, this is contradictory as all 64GB cards are SDXC. I've already bought one 64GB SDXC card that doesn't work and I don't want to waste more money on another one. Can anybody bring clarity?

The card I bought that doesn't work is a Verbatim Class 10 UHS1 card. DJI Tech Support stated: "I´m afraid if the supplied card is working, then it is because the Phantom 3 cannot us SDXC cards. The double compression cannot be initialized and therefore you get an error."

I'm now looking at buying a Samsung EVO Plus UHS1 Class 10 card, but specs wise it seems exactly the same as the Verbatim, so I don't see why it should work.
