Very grey today,   it was supposed to be dry but I see rain is set to start later and 35mph gusts by dinner time.

No rain here today but very cloudy.  Time for me to go make some bubbles.

Nothing really exciting other than seeing a couple of dolphins and a couple of rays.  Diving is a great way to reduce stress and just get away from the day to day  doldrums.

Youve got the sea for it there,  here it would all be a bit murky unless I travelled some distance to a better coast.

I have to agree with you on that.  I'm thinking the Thames would not offer much visibility.

Seems better than I thought,   still I bet this is merry by your standards.

Wow, that is much better than what I was thinking it would be.  I guess the key is to not mess around to close to the bottom and stir up all the silt, etc.

Thanks.  the details of the planes/satelites/stars is fascinating and the scaled down verion does really do it justice.

I find this very impressive from the P2.
Now if you only could let it follow the movement of the sky

I guess you could do that but with a long exposure and the sky moving and the camera moving you'd need follow a specific star.

I guess it would be best to try and match the speed and movement of the sky with one of these sky apps.

Im not sure how that would work as things in the sky are all moving at different speeds and directions.

I'm not sure how these nightsky photographers do this with programmable tripod heads.

They tend to track a specific star or constellation rather than just moving with the sky.

Ah ok, So that is probably 'the way to go' then, but thinking about it, that will require a big tele lens.

Indeed.  trying to capture a specific star with the P3 alone is pretty pointless at 24mm.

Exactly. 200 is not even going to cut it.
