So, the new remote / the new drone cannot use any other software other than the one on the remote's screen?
I need to use some apps I have on my iPad for my flights.

Does anyone know how to answer before I buy?

What are some of the ipad apps you need to use for your flights?

Drone Deploy, Pix4D, basically surveying software

According to the Drone Deploy website, you cannot use the app with the Mavic 3 Pro while in flight.
You can, however, upload and process imagery and data collected post flight.

Same issue with the PIX4Dcapture app

There is no SDK for the Mavic 3 series so theres no option to use 3rd party apps for flight.

The controller isn't your biggest problem.
You need DJI to release an SDK to allow 3rd party software developers to modify their software to use the features of the Mavic 3.
But DJI have made it clear that they aren't going to play ball on that issue.
