Went out on Sunday to one of the usual spots since the weather was somewhat bearable and finally sunny.

Cool train footage.    Not a cloud anywhere in the sky so what a good day to fly, well maybe except for the cold temps.

I thought about once but as you get closer to the bridge the annoying DJI voice comes on about the being in an "altitude area." It can be done if you don't mind hearing the droning messages. That's closest though I've ever gotten and I doubt I will try it especially since there's nothing to really see on the other side.

OMG! I'm not kidding Blériot, I felt the same way but after looking for over an hour for something better that was not copyrighted, I finally gave in to "that". I tried to match the music to the content but this time I wasn't lucky at all.
My sincere apologies especially when you look back at all of my previous posts none were "as bad" as this one. I just got tired of YouTube complaining of my posting copyrighted music. I will try better next time.

We've had a few recent sunny days here but unfortunately the gusting winds are prevailing.  The kite surfers are enjoying it though.

That is odd,  I only get it once as I approach the zone,   once in it mine wont repeat,   unless there are multiple zones there.

Definitely, will give Eric his due, actually I went out yesterday because the temps were over 50 degrees Fahrenheit albeit cloudy.  I wanted to go somewhere new and had a serendipitous opportunity to provide one more train video. The last for awhile . Actually, I had gone to take a few photos of a specific location that I will post photos of later. Thanks Bleriot

If you enable map view you should be able to see the zones and that might give you an idea.

Hi DAFlys' most apps don't show any indications of risk or zones for this area, yet I recall back in 2021 having to ask DJI engineering why I was a getting a TFR and not allowed to take off, every time a NY Mets Baseball Team or NY Yankees game was played at home.
This location is over 25 miles away, so there's no ability for my MA2 to reach either stadium. But getting back to your question, there are busy routes over this bridge for small aircraft and helicopters.

For the controller to announce that it should be in the DJI geo map,  you can view that online here - https://fly-safe.dji.com/home or in Map view on the controller,   it will show ups as a darker area.

Sadly you have to zoom out to see all the zones,   If Im in the right place there is an altitude zone close to there.

Yes, you are absolutely correct, there is an altitude zone there from all of the air traffic that flies over. Thanks for the update.

No probs,    Always play with the zoom as different things appear at different zoom levels.
