We'll just sit here until the tide goes out.....

Whilst wading out to a wreck these people decided to sit on the boat until the tide regressed some more.   Id flown out with the drome to check the levels before we departed for our weading session.

Taken with Mini 3 Pro.

Remarkable capture DA.    Probably not much else they can do until the tide helps them.

They were really cheeky,    they were heading out to the wreck and sat there while the tide receded a bit more,  we passed them later and it was only 2ft of water, although the fish there were leaping about and gives us a few jumps.

Sounds like the fish were energetic  and wanted to put on a good show for you.

Im sure you're used to it,  but it was very odd when they swim into you and give you a nudge.

No I doubt they owned it,  they were walking out to the wreck on the sand and just waited there until the tide went out a bit more.    They were still there when we passed them and the kid seemed to be exploring the boat.

I do,    thus my suggestion they were testing something that makes a plume like that.

Happens quite a bit while out scuba diving.  I really don't mind as long as it is not a shark that has snuck up on me.

I do really dislike bull sharks.  They are the meanest of all the sharks that I've ever encountered.

Is there a clue in the name there by chance?

Bull sharks are named for their blunt snout, aggressive nature and tendency to head-butt their prey before attacking.

And you can keep there over there please along with those alligator snappy turtles,  which have just been found here in a lake.    The common shark we get here is the  spiny dogfish.   looks like a proper shark but isnt dangerous to humans.

Louisiana has an abundance of alligator snapping turtles.  Those things can be quite vicious.

The question is how did that turtle get all the way over to the UK?

They reckon it was part of an illegal trade in exotic pets and the owner realised he couldnt safely keep it.

Thats what the article suggested,    they had issues catching it, and then the vets didnt really know what to do with it initially.   Ugly creatures too,  very prehistoric looking.

Yep, they are very ugly and prehistoric looking for sure.  It seems the Cajuns in Louisiana don't mind them as they make turtle soup out of them.

I've never eaten the turtle soup in Louisiana but I'm told it is well liked by the locals there.  Most cajun food is spicy so I'm betting they spice up the turtle soup also.

Great video and great dish.  I make my fajitas with very similar contents.  I'll have to try his full recipe.  I've found that with flank you need to sear it really good to keep the juices in and then cook it nice and slow, otherwise it will be tough and chewy.  Thanks for the YT link.
