Great shot!   I love the style of the old suspension bridges.  That bridge is fairly long for a suspension bridge.

Yes The spires on this one have more personality with the criss-cross pattern.

Thanks, I wish I could have gotten a better angle on this one, but I was about 2500 ft away from it. I would have liked to cut the angle and get the spires from behind.  Maybe next time.

Better than here,  the rain has cleared to a nice frost this morning at 1c.

I have been playing with this all weekend. I picked it up on Ebay to do some mapping. I wanted to eea if the mechanical shutter does a better job, but I i didn't want to spend $5,000 to find out.

He was very eccentric. Ben Franklin is a favorite of mine. He was brilliant, but odd. Not usually popular.

Yes, He invented lot's of things, The Franklin Day planner was originated by him due to a form of self improvement. His strong point wasn't chastidy. He didn't spend much time with his wife, with all of the travel. His autobiography is worth a read. One of my favorites. SImple but a good book on life. It was written as a guide for life to his son.

Yes, I just spoke with a technician that tells me they can't even get the parts for it anymore.
It's unfortunate because these old birds are amazing

Theres a few places here that you can get parts from,  but as you say many are not available.

I picked it up for $300 plus shipping and tax, about 450 It's flying ok After Compass, IMU and controller calibration. I have a few days to figure out if I am going to keep it. I am kind of fond of it though.

Seems like a great price,   as long as you dont crash you shouldn't have too many issues with that.

If I can get some mapping and modeling done with it it should be worth it. Right now it has a slight random yaw that I am trying to fix with a controller callibration. If that works it's good. I'll look for some spare units for parts
