In the Spirit of SuperBowl Sunday. Here is a high school footbal field I flew over yesterday. For those of you who follow American Football.

Yes, It seems most of the schools aren't bothering to maintain real grass anymore on their sports fields.

Lovely shot. Who will you be supporting - Chiefs or 49ers?    It's on TV here late tonight.

They are both good. Not a fan of either. I will probably lean toward the 49ers. How about you> do you follow any Football.The Superbowl may be one of two or three games I watch a year.

We've never watched Gridiron Football, as you call it. And we have scant interest in Soccer.
This is our sport of choice. The tournament is in full swing at the moment

Great shot and a beautiful football field.    I like how many schools have gone to artificial turf.  

Sadly it took the help of the referees to aid the Chiefs in getting the win last evening.  Some really bad calls but because of that officiating crew many knew this would happen beforehand.

After School I didn't play sports either. I was Tennis and Swimming in High School. A little Soccer.

Cycling and Judo were my sports from teens to late 30s.
Then work began to get in the way

I enjoyed them both. Mine was Jiu Jitsu . I have participated in the NYC Marathon a few times. I want to get my bike back in shape because I used to enjoy riding.

They had been discussing that in a couple of sport's forums and several recently retired players who are no TV commentators had covered it.  I had no dog in the fight so I could care less who won but I think the NFL is going the wrong way in condoning this type of stuff.

The NFL has gone the wrong way with lots of things and their rating is going down the tubes as a result.

I agree with you on that totally.  For one thing I thought we only had one national anthem.

Don't get me started on that. I didn't watch the game because of it. I believe on equal everything but we don't need to anthems to recreate division. This is being done to call attention to the past. We are in the present.

DAFlyks and myself were just exchanging views on the "best things in life are free".  This was my response.

When it comes down to it, the riches in our bank accounts don't compare to the seven riches below. Here's evidence that the best things in life don't cost a single penny.  Hugs, friends and family, smiles, sleep, laughter, happy memories, and love.

So, go hug your best friend, kiss your significant other, create good memories with your family and make a stranger feel loved with a simple smile (and then go to sleep). All without draining your pocketbook.
