Lately I recognized that the maximum file size for video is set to 3,76 GB. It will continue to record but will create 2 or 3 files for a longer video.
Is there a chance that DJI will change that in future with an FW update? E.g. with an checkbox where you can choose if you prefer file splitting or non-splitting.

DJI cannot change this, its a file size limitiation of SD cards formatted FAT32.
Just google it.

But I formatted it with exFAT which gives you a max file size of 512 terabyte.

To avoid problems with FAT 32 cards, DJI has limited the file size.

Maybe DJI could implement file system detection in the firmware?
Or as mentioned above, using checkboxes.

In reality, working with very large files is more difficult and less reliable. And merging files in the editor is no problem.
