Just received Osmo Pocket 3 Magnetic ND Filters Set and mounted one filter on my Pocket 3. Immediately realized that with the filter mounted on the head, it cannot park properly when the device is switched off.

when filter is not mounted then the head parks correctly:

@DJI Support, what am I doing wrong?

That is a wanted behavior. When a filter is applied, the Pocket is not going into to park mode fully.

Not a bug, its a feature.

Depending on the filter thickness, the gimbal will automatically turn and face the camera outward after it tries to close.  However, some of the thinner filters get stuck this way.  At least, this is my experience.

But this is the DJI original filter! And parking is to protect the lens. So, it is epic failure rather than a feature.

Hello there. Thank you for reaching out. When in Storage mode, the gimbal camera rotates in various directions, with and without the wide-angle lens. When the Osmo Pocket 3 is turned off and in storage mode, the camera rotates inward automatically. However, with the wide-angle lens installed, the wide-angle lens will touch the axis arm when the camera rotates inward, causing the camera to revolve in the opposite direction, facing the same direction as the touchscreen. In this instance, place the gimbal camera in the protective case. This also applied to both the black mist filter and the ND filter. Hope this helps.

Same problem with the original DJI filters. This did not happen with Pocket 2. It detected that it had a filter installed and turned in the opposite direction. Will it be implemented in next firmware?
