Hi,

My ride trip yeasterday was a perfect testing for my new DJI Mic 2.

Recording setup was :
- Insta360 X3
- DJI Mic 2 #1 connected via Bluetooth to the Insta360 - On my bike jersey
- DJI Mic 2 #2 used for internal recording - On front of me, clipped on a bicycle bag

The audio for the #1 (bluetooth one) is many times "saturated".
The audio for the #2 (internal) is much better, no clipping.

Is it possible to avoid this clipping on bluetooth ? In the user manual it's indicated that gain setting is for RX/TX and internal recording, but for bluetooth ? Possible ?

Is it possible to be connected on bluetooth AND in the same time recording internal (or with a safe track -6dB) ?

If I can solve that in order to test in real condition on my next bike ride...

Thanks for your help, regards !

You would need to reduce mic gain via your Insta360, the Osmo Action 4 as an example has an adjustable gain of -12 to +12 the Insta 360 may or may not have similar or low, med, high refer to your Insta user guide.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
If I modify the gain in the Insta360 X3 (which have this option), is the change affect only Bluetooth connection or il will be applied for connection with the DJI receiver too ?
I known me, I will forgot to change that if i swap from bluetooth connection to cabled connection...
Thanks,
Regards

The topic is not new, I have exactly the same Problem and cant find any solution according to that.

Maybe the kind DJI support can help me aswell.

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
If I modify the gain in the Insta360 X3 (which have this option), is the change affect only Bluetooth connection or il will be applied for connection with the DJI receiver too ?

The GAIN adjustment feature only affects what is recorded to the Insta360.    What is recorded internally on the Mic2 remains the same (especially when recording in 32-bit float).

I recently bought an Insta360 Ace Pro, and this has been my experience too.
