Im fed up with the rain at the moment.  Especially as I seem to be cleaning cars constantly at the moment.

Weatherwise, this winter has been really frustrating here.  It is either raining or we are having gusting winds.  Seems the winds off the Gulf of Mexico are fighting with the winds off the Atlantic Ocean and we are caught in the middle.

Are you noticing the new growth yet?  that seems to be a precursor for spring to leap.

I'm not seeing a lot of new growth yet but then again many plants and flowers here stay green and bud year around.  I'm just waiting for a break from the rains and winds. It has caused me to not be able to fly as often and spend more time at the pistol range.  Although that means I go through a lot more ammo...which isn't a bad thing.

We had some quite uninpected weather,  last night the rain suddenly changed to hail stones,  not huge only the size of peas which is probably the biggest we see.  Then this morning we woke to -2c and everything really frozen,  the rain that had been sitting on the car stopped me getting some of the doors open.

Wow, that turned super cold really fast.  I haven't experienced frozen car doors since my tour of duty in Chicago, Illinois.  I had a heated garage at home but this would happen while parked in the open at work.

It was just a strange combination of rain turning to ice quickly.   We probably get it a couple of times a year.

Also could be damaging to cars and roofs.  They had some hail in southern Georgia a month back that was the size of golf balls and numerous cars were damaged.

Luckily weve never had that in my lifetime,    they no doubt would be writing off a lot of cars for that.

No doubt the car insurance companies paid out quite a bit following that weather event.

This will give you a laugh,  we just got our renewal for the fast car we still have,   a couple of years ago it was £384,  that went up to £500 last year,  and this renewal just came in at £2750 - unbelievable.

Sounds like your insurance companies are doing the same thing they are doing here.  Car insurance prices just keep going up but homeowner's insurance has tripled in the last 2 years.  You can't convince me that they aren't making profits and lots of them.

Weve been shopping around and have got quite a few quotes that were under the £700 mark but still more than it should be.

Yeah, that's still expensive.  EVs cost even more to insure here, is it the same way in the UK?

I just cleaned the car as it's going to be dry for a few days but it still feels miserable without any sun light.
