DJI Lightbridge 2

Is Lightbridge2 also aimed at the Inspire1 & Phantom3 platforms ?

If so, then it looks like you have to buy another Remote Controller to have 1080p on your device.
But when you look @ 0:45 you get the idea it will also be available as an upgrade to your RC as DJI does so with the Phantom3 - HDMI Output Module

I'm sorry but going from 720 to 1080 is no big deal when you can't see the dam thing anyway because of the sun, now if it doubled your range it would be worth the upgrade.

I just want the video interuptions/blackouts to stop. If that is the case I am in.

No, it won't work with the Inspire or Phantom 3.  Of course DJI made the new Lightbridge only work with the inspire controller.  I'm sure the LB unit inside of the controller is slightly different though.

That is not my impression.  I am setting up the LB2 on my S900.  The LB2 is not compatible with the LB1, Inspire or the P3's on LB.  I am not sure how that would be an upgrade path.
