Lovely rural scenery Alex.   Any known reason why the bridge was never finished?

Odd how they filled the bridge with gravel.

Is that the old and abandoned railway route, next to the newer railway, Alex?

Nope, as far as I can see this bridge has never been finished - simply while building it they decided to move tracks a few hundred meters down the stream, so they did. Why - I don't know, but during socialist time this was kind of common to start something and change their minds before finishing it
