Quaint old Manor House.  Maintained in the style and décor of the period.
Run as a hotel. We had a memorable weekend there, a while back.

It was advertised as a period piece, living in the sytle of the 18th Century.  It was certainly that.

A bit different angle compared to others, but looks great nonetheless.

It's interesting how the styles of the chateaux change in different parts of France.

It was like stepping back in time a couple of centuries.
The furniture was period, too.
Which meant that the bed was a bit lumpy

Indeed it is.  If I didn't love living on a boat I'd for sure love to have a manor like that.  But then, look at all the maintenance that would be needed on a regular basis.  Nah, think I'll just keep the boat.

Two nights there were enough, TBH.

Just the two windows behind my car. The original wall hangings have to be protected from daylight as much as possible, when the rooms aren't in use.

You've convinced me to stay put.  I have all the comforts I want so no need for a change.  

I had an interesting flight back from the Bahamas.  The small island hopper airplane we were on ran into some turbulent weather and it turned out to be similar to a roller coaster ride.  I knew when the pilot said to tighten our seat belts we were in for some rough weather.  Once on the ground the pilot was apologetic but wasn't his fault.  Well, maybe he should have checked the weather a little bit better  The plane is slow and flies at a low altitude so it is hard to get above turbulent areas.  It is one of those small island hopper service where the person loads your bags, escorts you to the plane, does the emergency procedure brief and then goes and gets in the pilots seat and fires up the plane.   

Nice Hotel. Very Stately.

After picking her up from the coiffeur today I was instructed to drive Mrs.B to a large retail outlet, where it was decided that we needed a new set of pans for the kitchen. And since this was around lunchtime I had to stump up for a meal out as well.
One redeeming feature to this costly start to the week - I was able to get the Mini3Pro aloft to check on the new McD in town

I saw that. My wife likes to make date night out of shopping. I'm not a big fan. It's one of the sacrifices. She puts up with me, so once in a while I give in.
