I was visiting the Tampere Central, to be precise the Main Library called Metso (Translates to Capercaillie), when I noticed a curious phenomenon while walking by the ramp next to the main entrance. It seems like Mother Nature had decided to take advantage of the roof's foldings and create some decoration of her own...

Shot on Pocket 2.

The moment I saw it, I had to capture it with the Pocket 2

That's the beauty of the pocket 2. It's there when you need it.

Exactly. I had good luck, as it was a work day for me and I have often kept the Pocket 2 with my other work items, as that has been my go-to camera for creating social media content for my employer's YouTube, Facebook and Instagram channels. I had just left work and had come to the library to meet a friend stright from there, when I noticed the curious patterns. So the Pocket 2 was not far away for some quick snapshots. :-)

I have the action 2. I am looking to pick up the action 3. A little pricey though.

The Action 2 and 3 both look pretty neat, but not sure if I would find that much use for them myself. I don't do extreme sports and rarely film underwater or in extreme weather conditions. The rare occasions I do, I can use the Pocket 2 with the waterproof case. But the Action series cameras certainly are way more rugged.

I have used them for coming out of pools in real estate along with Real estate videos. The new acion series has better iso for low light.

For that use, the Action series is certainly useful.

I'll have to ask about that video: How did you get that ascending so smooth and stable? I've tried doing similar movements, both free-handed and on a tripod, but for some reason, mine always tend to turn out a bit uneven and wobbly.

I used the long stick that the pack came with and pulled it out upside down then reversed the video.

The cold seems to have somewhat easened up now. It wasn't really that cold when these pictures were taken, either. A month or a couple agom it was way more freezing.

I do think you did some other trickery as well. I noticed the car that was in the background moved forward the normal way, so I assume only the part underwater was reversed footage? Or did you specifically tell someone to reverse their car to make it extra-unnoticeable?

Yes. At one point, I had a streak of bad luck with this, as I saw many interesting things worth capturing, yet often didn'y have the Pocket 2 with me. But it seems like I am learning better to keep it with me more often and start to get rewarded for it by these happy chances coming up unexpectedly.

No I was holding the camera upside down and did a 180 from what I remember. This was last summer. The car was moving forward.

The great thing about the Pocket cameras is they take up so little room.  Just got to make sure you keep the battery charged.
