A bit of Newark, NJ  1 mile from the Airport. I could only get clearance to 100 ft. Caught this while doing a roof inspection.

Those high-rises look rather ugly.

100ft probably puts you under those sky rises,  stupid rules.

Thanks, It's an old medical building, in an old neighborhood.  I try to catch something interesting in every neighborhood I'm in. This was the best it had to offer.

Yes, it certainly is.  

Had a call earlier today from a friend asking if I would be willing to do a dive and try and locate his son's drone that sunk into his large pond.  I went over and then did a quick overhead flight with my Mini 3 Pro and quickly spotted his drone.  I waded out and got it back for him.  The water was only knee deep at that point so really no dive gear was needed.  As I was drying off a 3 foot alligator came crawling out of the pond.  Glad I didn't step on him as I was walking out to get the drone.

That's scary. Alligators can do some damage. I never really swam where there are alligators that I know of.

I guess I was just really lucky.  I probably should have used the Mini 3 Pro for a bit more surveillance of the pond before I waded out but at that point I was excited to have found the sunken drone so quickly and in such shallow water.

No harm no foul. Most of the time the critters avoid us.

That's very true.  

I see where another alligator snapped a drone out of the air.  I think some people don't realize how far up out of the water they can spring.

I would imagine a drone would look like a nice healthy pigeon. I was attacked by a flock of them today in Brooklyn NY. They are just as aggressive as the people there.

I had the displeasure of meeting a huge flock of pigeons in Rome, IT years back.  I hope to not experience that again ever.

They must have been on in a rooftop coop nearby. Very territorial. I had to cut the flight short.

No doubt they can be a pain at times.  It is interesting that they are considered a delicacy in many Asian countries.

I've tried pigeon feet. in a Chinatown restaurant. They're edible but I don't get the attraction to it.

Just doesn't seem like a lot of meat on them to make it worthwhile but then again people love to eat doves and quail and they are both a bit smaller than a pigeon.
